Dr. Maria Peters
Mental health is very important to me. I strongly believe it should not be taken lightly, and my hopes are that soon it will be under the same umbrella as medical health. I chose my logo because I feel many of us have experienced or are experiencing broken pieces in our lives and may have difficulties re-creating oneself. With these struggles in life, it often takes time putting all these pieces back together, hence the mosaic.

CAMBREY LINDSAY

Over 20 years ago, Cambrey Lindsay launched into her life-long
study of counseling, somatic practices, and healing. While working
on her Master’s in Counseling and Human Services at St. Edward’s
University, she became fascinated with the mind-body relationship.
Due to this fascination, she discovered the Nia Technique, Hakomi
Method, bioenergetics, and yoga practices. Studying at The Center
for Mind-Body Medicine with Dr. James S. Gordon, Cambrey fine-
tuned her use of techniques guiding clients to heal traumatic
experiences, resolve emotional conflicts and improve mental
wellbeing.
Cambrey’s specialty is harmonizing the relationship between body
and mind, which is vital for abundantly holistic health. She facilitates
the healing of personal and relational issues with individuals, couples,
and families. As well, she assists with substance abuse issues,
behavioral concerns, and disorders focusing on mood, eating, and
post traumatic stress. Her background working with foster care,
Wraparound, DFPS, and school systems further make her a
knowledgeable resource for families seeking help with loved ones
involved in these social services.
In addition to Holistic and Mind-Body approaches, Cambrey also
enlists Cognitive Behavioral, Rational Emotive, Acceptance and
Commitment and Dialectical Behavior Therapies into her practice.
Her main philosophy is that every human has the gift to heal
themselves from within with a little guidance and support.

BROOK BOYCE

My name is Brooke Boyce. I love children and enjoy an uncomplicated family life with my husband of 15 years and our six children (we are blended). For twelve years I was a soldier in the US Army. I was a Medical Laboratory Technician for the first nine years and a Cytologist for the last three. I left the Army to be a stay-at-home mother. Those were the best eight years of my life. When my husband retired from the Army, the family moved to my husband’s hometown of Katy, Texas. My family has resided in Katy since late 2015. We had some rough going at first, but we have all adapted and thrived. During this transitional period My husband and I decided that we wanted to change career paths. My husband earned his Masters in Business while I earned my Masters in Licensed Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
I completed my 700 practicum hours for my degree plan at the Krause Home for Girls working with girls from the ages of twelve to eighteen. Most of these youth came to the home by way of Child Protective Services. During this time I was able to work with youth with various Mental Health diagnoses. After the completion of my practicum hours I crushed my National Counselors Exam and sought gainful employment as a Therapist Intern. My first position was working for a community WRAP service. The program offered in-home interventions for struggling families. After a short while I was honored to receive an offer to come to Mosaic Tree Counseling where I currently enjoy working with clients of all ages and walks of life. I have taken a page from my supervisor’s book in that I believe a good Therapist should work themselves out of a job. Meaning Therapy is not a life long sentence. Clients should come to therapy in order to learn tools to help them through their current struggles. In short I am an advocate for client empowerment. I do not “fix” clients. I look forward to building your personal toolbox of strategies to conquer life’s challenges.

Tammy K. Allen

Tammy is a Counselor Intern who wants to help you live your best life. She is working toward becoming fully licensed and obtaining additional certifications in couples counseling, EMDR, and bariatric counseling. Tammy is also a published author of a children’s book based on the concepts of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and has a book for the adult population in the works.
Tammy believes in a holistic approach to counseling and psychotherapy that embraces the well-being of the client as a whole – mental, emotional, physical, cultural, and spiritual. This help may include encouraging, supporting, teaching, confronting, and even calling you out on your ‘bull’ when necessary. As a Christian, her worldview greatly influences her approach to psychotherapy. It is not necessary for you to share her beliefs for counseling to be successful for you, but it is important that you are aware of them. Tammy embraces people from all walks of life with unconditional acceptance and without judgment or preconceived ideas. She recognizes that you are a unique individual with experiences that are specific to you alone. Tammy will provide a safe environment to explore your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. She affirms that everyone has a right to live a healthy, authentic life that is free from judgment and shame, and she wants to help you honor your voice and live your truth.
No one theoretical approach will work in every situation, but Tammy’s preferred therapeutic modality leans strongly toward Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) with a nod to Existentialism, and her methodology for couples counseling is heavily influenced by Gottman. Tammy is skilled at building a healthy therapeutic relationship based on a foundation of trust. That trust will provide security for you to share honestly and openly, apply new approaches to your current situation, work toward a healthier existence, and improve your outlook. Through this process, she will help you discover thoughts and patterns that have held you back from your best life. Together, you will find new, healthy behaviors for you that garner growth and healing. Tammy will encourage, motivate, and challenge you, but the effort to reach your potential must come from you. She firmly believes that YOU have the ability to determine your best life; the power is within you right now.
Tammy graduated from LeTourneau University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Outside the office, Tammy enjoys cooking, reading, writing, photography, and spending time with the love of her life, their kids, and their four rescue animals.
Tammy works primarily with adolescents, adults, and couples with issues related to stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, gender identity, grief, and marital/relationship strife. If you feel that Tammy would be a good therapeutic fit for you, please contact the office to set up an appointment.
