Dennis Daenekas specializes in helping individuals navigate life’s transitions by fostering deep self-acceptance and practical environmental adaptation. Utilizing a Gestalt therapy framework, Dennis focuses on the “here and now,” helping clients integrate their thoughts, feelings, and actions to create a more cohesive sense of self. He is particularly adept at working with children and adolescents, currently serving as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor within Spring Branch ISD, and offers the unique ability to conduct sessions fluently in both English and German.
Dennis’s clinical approach is informed by a diverse background in both mental and physical wellness. With a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Houston, his perspective is further enriched by his experience as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and a Black Belt in Olympic Taekwondo. This history reinforces his foundational belief that while medicine has its place, many individuals can find profound healing through self-awareness and holistic growth.
Clients working with Dennis can expect a therapeutic environment that is warm, authentic, and grounded in the belief that everyone is inherently capable. His goal is to help clients move beyond simple symptom management toward a life that feels fulfilling, empowered, and truly aligned with their authentic selves.
